Before starting private practice, I worked as a clinical social worker for over 15 years, providing therapy to people with a variety of emotional and social difficulties. Often, the initial search for a therapist can be a challenging process. The goal should be to find a practitioner you (or your family member) will be comfortable with when talking about personal issues.
